TeamRenew does not have a room block for conventions. TeamRenew Founders Chris and Sky Hughes always stay at the Renaissance Hotel with several other team leaders. This and the downtown Sheraton Hotel are “the hot spots” where all the top LegalShield leaders stay, socialize and congregate. It’s a great opportunity to get to know them in a casual environment.
Click here for the Hotel Registration Form. Fill this form out and fax it to LegalShield owned and operated Ada Travel Services.
If you are considering booking a room or room block outside of those listed, please contact Ada Travel at 1-800-256-5860 to see if transportation can be included in your contract.

Dress code is not enforced at these events. You will see Associates wearing Dockers and polos all the way up to 3-piece suits. All leaders wear suits, and we recommend that you do as well, but it is your choice. If you don’t have a suit(s), simply wear the best you have or are able to acquire. The most important thing is that you are there!
WEAR YOUR TEAM PRIDE ON FRIDAY - Our CEO Rip Mason has asked that we all sport our team pride on Friday of the convention. TeamRenew is known for having some of the coolest t-shirts in the arena and this year will be no exception. Check out the TeamRenew Store to see if we have added this years t-shirt.
The TeamRenew Breakout (held on Saturday between sessions) is often the highlight of the entire convention weekend. At the Breakout, you can expect to get training, motivation, recognition, awards and lots of fun! And you never know who might show up as one of our special guest speakers. Typically, we have a “breakout only” price of $20 per person. Or you can get our Convention Pack, which includes the Breakout, lunch with the team, your TeamRenew t-shirt and other goodies! This is the best deal! Price on the Convention pack will be announced. Be sure to check the TeamRenew Store often for updates and to get tickets.
If you come in early or stay late, we highly recommend that you visit the OKC National Memorial Museum, erected in memory of those who were killed in the tragic bombing OKC Federal Building. It’s heavy topic but a very moving and unforgettable experience.
Right across the street from the Convention Center is the Historic OKC Bricktown, where there is tons of fun stuff to do and see, as well as great food!
Home Office Tours can be booked for 2:30 PM on Wednesday or various times through the day on Thursday. The trip will include an informative tour and a meal prepared by our own Eagle View Restaurant. This fabulous facility is a reflection of what we have all accomplished together as we continue to “Make a Living while Making a Difference”. Don’t miss out on this very special opportunity. You must register in advance by selecting the tour option provided in your on-line event registration, or by calling 580-436-RICH Option 1.
Over the years, one of the major deterrents for attending convention is finances. I know first hand. I can’t tell you all the crazy sacrifices I’ve made over the years in order to attend EVERY CONVENTION from $0 to $100,000 a year in passive LegalShield income. But I can tell you this. In regards to convention, the old adage is true. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Period. And as my friend Rick says “Poor planning prevents proper performance.”
NOW IS THE TIME to prepare to attend the OKC International Convention. Now is the time to decide if you will drive, fly or take a bus. Now is the time to decide what and where you will eat, how much you will spend on tools while you are there, who you will room or travel with, where you will stay, etc. You could make all these decisions today, and not worry about it any more! Wouldn’t that be nice? The only other variable, for most people, would simply be finances. And with our comp plan, which pays on average $150 per sale, with 7 months to prepare, financing is NO ISSUE. Or at least should be no issue.
Let’s look at the following numbers. Lets say its going to cost you $400 to fly to OKC. And after splitting a room with room mates, your room costs you $100. And lets say you are going to spend another $200 on food, breakouts and tools while you are there. That puts you at $700. $700 divided by 7 months is $100 per month. All you have to do to PAY CASH FOR YOUR ENTIRE OKC EVENT is SELL ONE MEMBERSHIP PER MONTH and put that money away! How simple is that??
For those of you who are part time, I’d recommend opening a separate savings/checking account for your LegalShield commissions. And I wouldn’t touch that money, except to reinvest it into your business. This is how you go from part time to full time quickly. By reinvesting into your business and making it bigger and bigger.
For those who are part time, you must figure out what percentage of your LegalShield income becomes seed capital. Which part of it goes into an investment account for future investments into your business (like convention, tools, etc.) My kids each have 4 mason jars to put their money in. When they get $1, ten cents go into the “TITHING JAR,” ten cents goes into their “SAVINGS JAR,” ten cents goes into their “EDUCATION JAR,” and ten cents goes into their “INVESTMENT JAR.” The rest, they get to spend however they want. We are teaching them to live on 60% of their income. Wish my folks would have gotten me on this system when I was 3! ![]()
